The video confirms that the 34-year-old has resumed bowling after suffering an unfortunate injury setback. Although he was effective, targeting the stumps, one could clearly see that he wasn't bowling full tilt.

His follow-through wasn't as smooth as it used to be, clearly reflecting that there is still room for improvement. Shami's caption, however, suggested that the fast bowler was happy with his progress and was confident to "take on the world" once again.

With the deadline for the provisional squad fast approaching, fans will be hoping that Shami gets the necessary fitness clearance and joins the Indian team after spending nearly 14 months on the sidelines.
