The England team went on a tour of New Zealand in the month of December last year. He suffered a hamstring injury in the last match of this Test series, for which he had to undergo surgery. Now he has given a latest update regarding this on his social media. Stokes shared a picture of his foot after the surgery, in which he is seen wearing a brace. He is in the car and has also kept a pillow under his feet. He also gave himself a new name 'Bionic Man'. The biggest reason for this is the heavy machine fitted in his leg after the surgery. But the question is, when will he return to the field?
After seeing the machine fitted in Ben Stokes' leg after the surgery, the question deepened as to how long will he remain out of the field. According to the report, it will take 3 months for him to recover completely. However, he has given a hint in his post that he will be seen in action soon. The England captain wrote, 'Surgery has taken place. That's why I have become a bionic man for a few days. Will return soon. Many fans have wished for his speedy recovery on his post.

Ben Stokes is an important part of the England team. He was also a victim of injury in the home series against Sri Lanka. After this, he returned fully fit in the role of captain and all-rounder on the New Zealand tour. But during the match in Hamilton, he suddenly had a hamstring problem and had to leave the match midway. He was a part of the 2023 ODI World Cup and was going to play in the 2025 Champions Trophy to be hosted by Pakistan. But after the surgery due to injury, it may take some time for his recovery. Therefore, he has already been dropped from this tournament starting in February. England has not given him a place in its squad. Due to there being no Test match till May, he will stay away from international cricket and focus on his recovery.
