However, after the match, Shaan has raised questions about his dismissal. Shaan was out LBW in the second innings but he was angry with the umpire's decision and also raised questions on the technology.
Shaan had shown a brilliant performance in the second innings against South Africa. After scoring a century, he was out on a personal score of 145 runs. The TV umpire then gave Shaan out.
On being given out LBW, Shaan said, 'It was clearly visible and felt that the ball was outside the stump. The ball did not hit where Hawk Eye (technology) was showing it to be hit. The ball hit me more on the outside of my foot than on the inside. The Pakistani captain further said in his defence, the on-field umpire had also thought the same and did not give out. That was not even an inswinger ball. That's all I can say.
Batting first, South Africa scored 615 runs with the help of captain Temba Bavuma (106 runs), Kyle Verenne (100 runs) and Ryan Rickelton's 259 runs. In response, Pakistan's first innings was reduced to 194 runs. South Africa gave follow on to Pakistan.
