After the defeat in the Border Gavaskar Trophy against Australia, Team India's veteran players Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are on the target of former cricketers. Especially Virat Kohli whose bat remained silent in this series. Apart from one century, Virat failed to play big innings. Virat was seen struggling with the balls going outside the off stump in the Border Gavaskar Trophy and he lost his wicket on the balls going outside. From Sunil Gavaskar to Irfan Pathan, important advice was given to Virat. Now Yuvraj Singh's father Yograj Singh also appeared angry with Virat. Regarding Virat, he said that Virat should have been careful while playing his favorite shot.

Players need man-management

Yograj Singh said while talking to news agency IANS, 'When you are playing for India, the role of the coach becomes an important question. When you are an exceptional player representing India, you do not need coaching in the traditional sense. You really need someone for man management. Sometimes, a player's mind wanders, they are unable to score runs, or they get out repeatedly. No matter how great a player is, he cannot be bigger than the game.

Yograj gave 'Gurumantra' to Virat

Yograj further said, 'Such players need someone who can guide them, say, 'Let's go to the nets and work on this'. For example, many times Virat Kohli got out while playing his favorite shot and he pushed with his right hand. This shot works on Indian pitches, in England and elsewhere, but on some pitches where the ball bounces more and goes farther, someone should have told him, 'Virat, don't play this shot'. Just play straight or drop this ball'.

Who will tell Rohit Sharma or Virat Kohli?

Yograj further said, 'This shows the difference between coaching and management. Coaching is to identify the technical mistake of a player and tell him about it. Someone should identify these technical problems and communicate them to the players, but who will tell Rohit Sharma or Virat Kohli? They also want someone to come and tell them what is going wrong.

I believe that proper management is required. Someone who understands when a player's mind gets blocked, when they feel down, and reassures them, saying, 'Don't worry, we're here for you.' You will do it because you are a great player'. Apart from this, Yuvraj's father said about Team India's head coach Gautam Gambhir, 'Gambhir has been a brilliant cricketer and his mind is also sharp. He has the ability to take the team forward. However, where there is any mistake, he points it out and rightly so, but proper management is necessary to keep the young players united.
