South Africa allrounder Wiaan Mulder was seen aggressively throwing a ball at former Pakistan captain Babar Azam on Day 3 of the second and final Test, which started a verbal slugfest between the two cricketers. The ball hit the pads of Babar during the 32nd over of Pakistan’s second innings in the contest.
Babar struck a drive and Mulder collected the ball before throwing it back.
Mulder said something to the star batter and he reacted, saying something in return.
Aiden Markram came in between to stop the heated conversation.Meanwhile, Shan Masood and Babar added 205 runs for the opening wicket after South Africa enforced the follow-on.
Pakistan posted just 194 earlier in their first innings. They reached 213/1 at stumps with captain Masood still unbeaten on 102. Masood and Babar kept the Proteas at bay for a session and a half after the visitors lost their last six wickets for 76 runs in the first essay.
