The second match of the Test series is being played between Pakistan and South Africa in Cape Town. Pakistan team was in a lot of trouble after being bundled out for 194 runs in the first innings. South Africa was forced to follow on. Then in the second innings, captain Shan Masood scored a historic century. On the third day of the match, he made an opening partnership of 205 runs with Babar Azam and created a new world record in Test cricket. In fact, this has become the biggest opening partnership after follow on in the 148 years of Test history.

Shaan got the team out of trouble

South African captain Temba Bavuma won the toss and decided to bat first. After this his team scored a huge score of 615 runs in the first innings. In response to this, the entire Pakistani team collapsed for 194 runs. Now after getting follow on in the second innings, the pressure on Pakistan had doubled.

The team's regular opener Sam Ayub was already out of the match due to ankle injury. But Shan Masood, forgetting his previous mistake, showed fight with Babar Azam and scored runs quickly. He played an unbeaten inning of 102 runs in 166 balls and Shaan got his team out of trouble with an opening partnership of 205 runs.
