Australia register six-wicket win over India in fifth Test, lift Border-Gavaskar Trophy by 3-1

Australia defeated India by six wickets in the fifth and final Test of the series. With their victory in Sydney, the hosts lifted the Border-Gavaskar Trophy by a margin of 3-1. Chasing 162 runs on Day 3, Beau Webster and Travis Head played important knocks for the host nation. India were without Jasprit Bumrah, who was injured on Day 2 and the other bowlers couldn’t pose a challenge.

Earlier, the visiting team was bowled out for 157, with Scott Boland taking six wickets.
