The Indian cricket team donned pink-striped jerseys at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Sunday for the 5th Test match against Australia, which may conclude on Day 3. This day is known as Pink Day at the SCG, in honor of Jane McGrath, the late wife of former Australian cricketer Glenn McGrath.

Jane McGrath passed away in June 2008 after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 42.

Jane was a passionate advocate for cancer support and along with Glenn, established the McGrath Foundation in 2005. The foundation raises funds to support individuals and families affected by cancer. The Sydney Test match has since been dubbed the 'Pink Test' in her memory.

Glenn McGrath, a legendary bowler with 949 wickets for Australia, expressed his gratitude for the continued success of the campaign.

'Never in a million years did we think it would grow into what it has and it's continuing to get bigger and better every year. She (Jane) would think it's absolutely amazing. She'd be very humbled by it. Probably slightly embarrassed that everyone is making a fuss. But she would be proud.'

On Sunday, 5 January players, fans, and broadcasters alike showed their support by wearing pink at the SCG.
