Saim Ayub Ruled Out for 6 Weeks: A very bad news is coming for Pakistan cricket team. Before the Champions Trophy 2025, Pakistan's young opener Sam Ayub has been injured and is out of the cricket field for 6 weeks. Sam Ayub got seriously injured in the first hour of the second Test against South Africa, after which he was taken off the field in a stretcher.

Ayub sprained his ankle while fielding and was seen writhing in pain before receiving help from his teammates and the team physio. He was then taken to hospital for a scan where he was diagnosed with a fracture in his right ankle, ruling him out of competitive cricket for six weeks.

Sam will not take further part in the ongoing second Test against South Africa, but he will remain with the team and will go back to Pakistan with the team after the match is over. Sam Ayub's exclusion from this Test is not only a big blow for Pakistan but it is also a bad news for Pakistan even before the Champions Trophy starting in February because the kind of form he is in is not good for Pakistan. He is going to be an important player in that tournament but it will be interesting to see whether he is fit for 6 weeks or whether he takes more time to recover.

Talking about this second test, South African captain Temba Bavuma won the toss and decided to bat first. Following the win in Centurion, Bavuma made three changes to his team with Kwena Mafaka becoming the youngest South African to make a Test debut, replacing Dane Patterson, while left-arm spinner Keshav Maharaj, who had recovered from a groin injury, Has replaced all-rounder Corbin Bosch. Vianne Mulder replaced Tony De Zorzi.
