The same thing that was being discussed happened in the last test of Border Gavaskar Trophy being played in Sydney. Rohit Sharma out of Sydney test. This decision is being discussed a lot in the cricket world. Former Indian cricketer and politician Navjot Singh Sidhu has also expressed his views on this matter and has openly supported Rohit Sharma. Sidhu looked very angry after Rohit was out of the team. Sidhu looked hurt by Rohit Sharma's decision to leave him out of the playing eleven.
Sidhu has shared a video from his X handle. He said, 'It is very strange that today Indian captain Rohit Sharma has been made to sit out. This is the first time in the history of Indian cricket that a captain is sitting outside. Either do not make him the captain and if a great player has been made the captain who has served Indian cricket a lot, then it does not matter whether his form is wrong or not. Captain, there is no option for him to step out for the benefit of the team.
A Captain should never be dropped midstream nor given the option to opt out sends wrong signals. Have seen Captain s like Mark Taylor , Azharuddin etc persisted as captain for a year despite bad form . @ImRo45 deserved more respect and faith from the management pic.twitter.com/OJcSF9r3fU

Sidhu further said, 'This sends a wrong signal. Whether you have kept him out of the team or given him an option. The management can never give the captain the option to sit. And the captain who has built the team, who has expressed confidence, who has always earned the respect of the younger players by giving them the role of a father figure. And he is a very respectable man. This is a wrong decision.
Sidhu wrote in his ex-post, 'A captain should never be left midway nor should he be given the option to exit. Sends wrong signals. We have seen captains like Mark Taylor, Azharuddin remaining captain for a year despite poor form. Rohit Sharma deserved more respect and trust from the management. Strange because this happened for the first time in Indian cricket history. Mistake…because a fallen lighthouse is more dangerous than a rock.
