After the defeat in Melbourne Test, everything is not going well in Team India. However, it is being claimed in the Australian media that the Indian team has been isolated since the beginning of the Border Gavaskar Trophy. Team India players did not celebrate together after winning the Perth Test. Rather, the players were divided into different groups. Australian media has even claimed that there is a lack of communication between Team India's head coach Gautam Gambhir and the team. Because of this there is a state of fear and confusion among the players.
Writer and commentator Bharat Sundaresan has written a lot about the current situation of Team India in his column in an Australian newspaper. He wrote in a post on
This is not so much an Indian team thats fractured but its surely fragmented & signs of discomfort & uncertainty have been simmering from the start of the tour before surfacing after the MCG loss. Mt column in the @australian #AusvInd https://t.co/qCLB2AEUQb pic.twitter.com/kNLZOqrvps

Bharat Sundaresan, after meeting a reserve player of Team India, claimed that he had said to me sadly, 'No one tells me anything, not the team, not the captain or the coach. I don't know what's happening'. Regarding Gautam Gambhir's press conference held just before the Sydney Test, it was said, 'Due to the lack of communication from the head coach, everyone became tense, which created a situation of uncertainty and confusion'.
Australian media further said, Gambhir did not give a direct answer regarding Rohit Sharma in the press conference, rather he said that we will play. It was not decided who would take command of the Test team. The reply was that after seeing the pitch the final playing eleven will be announced. Perhaps this has never happened before that pitch has been cited as the reason. Australian media admitted that even if there is not so much fear with Gambhir, there is definitely uncertainty in the team. However, when Ravi Shastri and Rahul Dravid were the head coaches of India, there was a sense of respect for them among the players. But this is not the case with Gambhir.
