Punjab batter Ashutosh Sharma is having a terrific debut season in the Indian Premier League. Sharma has put in valuable contributions with the bat alongside Shashank Singh. The duo helped PBKS beat GT in a thriller and almost clinched the game against SRH. Speaking to the IPL website, Sharma spoke about his journey as a cricketer and said that he loved to visualise before he stepped into the ground. Ashutosh Sharma revealed his beginning as a cricketer and said that his hometown Ratlam did not have enough infrastructure for him to pursue his career. "Ratlam is a very small town in Madhya Pradesh. Ratlam has no cricketing culture. It was a friend of mine who introduced me to cricket coaching. I played there for a few days and then I shifted to Indore," Ashutosh told the IPL website. Ashutosh spoke about batting in the IPL and revealed that he did not feel any pressure in the high-stakes chases. Ashutosh said that he was high on confidence whenever he went out to bat and believed in his abilities. "I love to visualise, and I knew that I will this situation at some point in the tournament. I faced that, and I kept telling myself that I will finish the match, I will finish the match, so I did not feel any pressure, because in my mind, the battle was already won," Ashutosh said. Ashutosh concluded the interview by talking about his heroes. Ashutosh said that there was a lot to learn from all the cricketers but specifically mentioned Naman Ojha, MS Dhoni and Rinku Singh. "I have grown up watching Naman Ojha, he is from Ratlam as well. Now I watch Suryakumar Yadav and Glenn Maxwell and in terms of finisher - MS Dhoni - nobody is better than that. There is so much to learn from Rinku Singh as well, the way he stays calm while finishing matches," the batter concluded by speaking about his heroes.
