The year 2024 has been full of ups and downs for Team India. Veterans like Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli could not work their magic in 2024. Yashasvi Jaiswal and Nitish Kumar Reddy impressed a lot. It is possible that in 2025, BCCI may give a big blow to the veterans of Team India and send them from A+ grade to Grade A. While promoting young players like Jaiswal and Reddy. Let us take a look at some such players of Team India, out of whom BCCI can promote some and demote some this year.

Rohit Sharma

The year 2024 has been very bad for Indian Test and ODI team captain Rohit Sharma. He definitely led Team India to the T20 World Cup in 2024, but apart from this, his captaincy and batting remained on target throughout the year. It is possible that due to Rohit's poor performance, BCCI may keep him from A+ grade to Grade A. Currently Rohit gets Rs 7 crore annually. Whereas if he comes in A grade, his salary will be Rs 5 crore annually.

Virat Kohli

Virat Kohli's condition may also be like that of Rohit. Virat's figures in 2024 have also been similar to Rohit's. There is no significant difference in the form and figures of both. Virat is also in A+ grade of BCCI and he also gets Rs 7 crore. But if BCCI decides to demote them also, they may also suffer a loss of crores.

Yashasvi Jaiswal

2024 has been a memorable year for Yashasvi Jaiswal. In the year 2024, he scored 1478 runs in Test. He was the second batsman to score the most Test runs last year. It is possible that BCCI will reward him for his hard work and excellent performance in 2024 in 2025. At present Jaiswal is in Grade B of BCCI's Central Contract. He gets Rs 3 crore annually. But now they can come in Grade A. BCCI can promote him.

Nitish Kumar Reddy

Nitish Kumar Reddy has shown a brilliant performance on the Australian tour. He is new to Team India and has played four tests so far. Since he has played three or more tests, he has been included in the C-grade in the BCCI's central contract. Players in this category get Rs 1 crore annually. However, considering Reddy's excellent performance, BCCI can increase his category, which will also increase his salary.

Rishabh Pant

Team India's wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant's current Australian tour has been very bad. He scored only 154 runs in four matches. He did not prove to be useful to the team when needed. Currently, Pant is in B grade in BCCI's central contract. But looking at his performance, BCCI can give a big blow to him and send him to C grade this year.

Ravindra Jadeja

Ravindra Jadeja's performance has also not been special on the Australian tour. Jadeja is also in the last stages of his career and the blame may fall on him too. Jadeja may fall below BCCI's A+ grade. He scored only 35 runs in the T-20 World Cup. Whereas even in the Border Gavaskar Trophy, his performance has not been as per expectations.

KL Rahul and Shubman Gill

KL Rahul's performance in the Border Gavaskar Trophy has been good. He has scored 493 runs in 9 matches in 2024. He is an A grade player. It remains to be seen what decision BCCI takes on him. Talking about Shubman Gill, he is also included in (A) grade. He has played only two matches so far in the Border Gavaskar Trophy and his performance was mixed. But before that he had performed brilliantly in the Test in 2024. It is believed that BCCI will retain him in this category.

washington beautiful

Washington Sundar has performed well as an all-rounder. Sundar is currently included in C grade. But in 2025, BCCI can reward him for his excellent performance by sending him to Grade B. Sundar has also proved beneficial for Team India in the Border Gavaskar Trophy.

Sanju Samson and Arshdeep Singh

Sanju Samson had performed brilliantly against South Africa and Bangladesh. He scored centuries in T-20 against both the teams in 2024. His record in domestic tournaments was also excellent. BCCI can promote him by sending him from Grade C to Grade B. BCCI can also give a big reward to fast bowler Arshdeep Singh in 2025. He has proved himself in every series and tour. He proved to be very effective for the team even in the T-20 World Cup. Arshdeep is also included in C grade like Sanju.
