The names of vice-captains Jasprit Bumrah and Nitish Kumar Reddy were written on the honors board of the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

Star players like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Rishabh Pant once again flopped in the Melbourne Test. But Nitish Kumar Reddy, playing only his fourth Test, created history. He scored a century (114 runs) in the first innings. For this his name was included in the Honors Board. Jasprit Bumrah once again bowled amazingly. He took four wickets in the first innings.
