IND vs AUS: Money showered on Nitish Kumar Reddy, reward announced as soon as he scored a century

At the age of just 21, India's emerging all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy has caught the attention of the entire cricket world. Nitish scored a brilliant century in just the fourth Test of his career against a strong team like Australia at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, one of the most famous and oldest stadiums in the world. Nitish took Team India out of difficult situations on the third day of the Melbourne Test on 28 December and scored the first century of his international career. His century made everyone happy and now he is getting the reward for it too. Andhra Cricket Association has announced a reward of Rs 25 lakh for Nitish.

Nitish achieved this feat in the fourth test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy being played at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. On the third day of the match, Nitish, who came to the crease after Team India lost 6 wickets in the first innings, formed an excellent partnership with Washington Sundar and took Team India under control. After this, he fulfilled his childhood dream by completing his century on this historic ground. The entire stadium was applauding his achievement and every cricket fan in India was also celebrating.

Andhra Cricket announced the reward

This achievement of Nitish, who comes from Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, also gave a reason to be proud of the State Cricket Association. After the memorable century of this young all-rounder, his first reward has also been showered on him. Andhra Cricket Association President and MP Kesineni Shivnath congratulated Nitish in a post on 'X' and also announced that for this achievement and hard work, he will also be given a reward of Rs 25 lakh by the association. He wrote that this achievement will also inspire lakhs of youth to move forward and touch heights.

Most runs for India in the series

Nitish has made his test debut on this Australian tour itself. He started his career in the Perth Test and scored the highest score of 41 runs in the first innings. In the second innings also he played a quick unbeaten inning of 38 runs. Then in the Adelaide Test also, 42-42 runs were scored from his bat in both the innings. Talking about the Melbourne Test, till the end of the third day's play, he was unbeaten on 105 runs. So far, Nitish has scored 284 runs in 6 innings of this series and he is the highest run scorer for India in the series.
