Vijay Hazare Trophy, Goa vs Manipur: Arjun Tendulkar has once again shown his magic in Vijay Hazare Trophy. This left-handed player performed well with ball and bat and Goa got its second win in the tournament. Talking about the match, Goa, batting first, scored 298 runs and in reply, Manipur team got bundled out for only 127 runs. In this match, Arjun Tendulkar played an inning of 26 runs in 24 balls and took one wicket for 40 runs.
The real hero of Goa's victory was Krishnamurthy Siddhartha. This wicketkeeper batted brilliantly in difficult conditions. Goa lost its openers on the score of 8 runs only. Snehal Kauthankar was out after scoring 1 and Ishan Gadekar after scoring 5 runs. After this, Siddharth handled Goa's innings with amazing batting. Goa had lost 5 wickets for 92 runs but after this Vikas Singh and Siddharth made a century partnership and got the team out of trouble. However, Vikas Singh could not complete his century and was out on 95 runs. After this, Arjun Tendulkar contributed 26 runs in the last overs and took the team close to 300.
Arjun Tendulkar gave the first blow to the Manipur team which was chasing the target of 299 runs. This left arm fast bowler dismissed opener Karenjit Yamanam for 11 runs. After this, Deepraj Gaonkar and Amulya Pandrekar destroyed Manipur's batting lineup. Together these two bowlers hunted 7 batsmen of Manipur. Pandrekar took 5 wickets for just 20 runs in 7.2 overs. This left-arm spinner has taken a five-wicket haul for the second time in List A cricket. Goa has won 2 out of 3 matches in Vijay Hazare Trophy. He has lost only from Haryana.
