The 67th National Shooting Championship is being organized at Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range in Delhi. Pistol and shotgun competitions are being held in this tournament, in which girls from Delhi have performed brilliantly. Especially 14 year old shooter Niamika Rana and Delhi's para pistol shooter Adeeba Ali have attracted everyone's attention with their excellent shooting. Niamika has won a total of three medals including one gold medal in the pistol events of this competition. Adeeba has brought glory to Delhi by winning two gold medals.
In the 67th National Shooting Championship, Delhi's women shooters have won a total of 15 medals including 4 gold. Delhi State Rifle Association Chairman Jaspal Rana has congratulated all the shooters of the medal winning team. He has expressed hope of even better performance next year. Jaspal Rana said that in the last few years, interest in shooting has increased among the girls of Delhi.
In the 10 meter Air Pistol Sub Youth Women National Individual event, Niyamika Rana of Delhi won the gold medal with a score of 573 points. Kanak of Haryana gave her a tough competition but she lagged behind by 1 point and won the silver medal with 572 points. On the other hand, Antara Don of West Bengal had to be satisfied with the bronze medal with 572 points. Niyamika also won the gold medal in the 50 meter pistol junior women civilian event, while she won the silver medal in the 10 meter pistol junior women civilian event.
Delhi's 20-year-old shooter Adeeba Ali won two gold medals in para shooting events. He won the gold medal in the 50 meter Pistol Championship Mix (SH1) Junior event with a score of 467 points. Ashish Sharma of Haryana won silver medal with 449 points and Bhakti Sharma of Delhi won bronze medal with 443 points. Adiba also performed brilliantly in the 10 meter Air Pistol (IPC) Championship Junior Women (SH1) event and won the gold medal, while Pooja Aggarwal of Delhi won the silver medal.
Delhi's women shooters also performed brilliantly in the Masters category competitions. In the 10 meter pistol senior master women's event, Jyoti Rawat of Delhi won silver, Pushp Meghwal of Rajasthan won gold and Sheela Kanungo of Maharashtra won bronze medal. In the 25 meter pistol master women's competition, Balesh Devi of Delhi won silver, Malabika Barua of Telangana won gold and P.Sophia Loren of Tamil Nadu won bronze.
Delhi's Parisha Gupta, Namya Kapoor and Tanisha Dabodia won the bronze medal in the 25 meter pistol junior women's national team event. Nayasha Rana, Khushi Kapoor and Lavanya Chopra also won bronze medals in the civilian women's team competition of this event. In the 25 meter pistol junior women's civilian team competition, all three won the silver medal. In the 10 meter pistol junior women's civilian team competition, Rashmika Sehgal, Tanisha Dabodia and Saina Bharwani won the silver medal for Delhi, while in the 10 meter pistol women's civilian team competition, the team of Meenu Pathak, Tanisha Dabodia and Saina Bharwani won the bronze medal.
