Boxing Day Test between India and Australia is going on in Melbourne. Its first day is over. After Australia's dominance in the first and second sessions, the Indian team made a comeback in the last session. Kangaroo team captain Pat Cummins had won the toss and decided to bat first. His decision proved to be absolutely correct. The openers gave the biggest and strongest start of this series. Team India was on the back foot due to the attack of 19 year old young debutant Sam Constas. Later Jasprit Bumrah once again made India's comeback.
The fourth test started today i.e. from 26th December. Sam Constas made his debut for Australia. He performed exactly as was expected. After facing a few balls, Constance attacked against the most successful bowler of the series and rained boundaries. He scored 50 runs in just 52 balls and played an inning of 60 runs in 65 balls.
The Australian team got a strong start with this innings. Then the morale of the rest of the batsmen also increased and they scored half-centuries. Apart from Constance, Usman Khawaja, who was going through poor form, scored 57 runs in 121 balls and Marnus Labuschagne scored 72 runs in 145 balls. In the first session, Australia scored 112 runs in 25 overs. In the second session, 64 runs were scored in 28 overs. During this time he lost only 2 wickets and the Kangaroo team stood in a strong position.
In the third session, Australia came to bat in a strong position. The team had scored 237 runs at the loss of 2 wickets. After this, Jasprit Bumrah made the comeback of Team India by taking consecutive wickets. First Washington Sundar hunted Marnus Labuschagne. Then Bumrah showed the dangerous Travis Head the way to the pavilion on zero runs.
