Team India has been announced for the T20 World Cup. No, we are not talking about the T20 World Cup of the senior men's or women's team here. Rather, the Under-19 Women's T20 World Cup is to be played next year, the Indian team has been selected for that. The decision on who will take charge of this team was also taken on 24th December. This tournament will be organized in Malaysia, in which 16 teams including India will participate. The Under-19 T20 World Cup will be organized from 18 February 2025 to 2 February 2025.
Nikki Prasad of Karnataka will captain the team in the Under-19 Women's T20 World Cup next year. Nikki captained the India B team in the Under-19 women's match played against South Africa and India A. She was also the captain of the Indian team in the Under-19 Women's Asia Cup against Bangladesh.
The Indian team is the defending champion of the tournament. This time also there are many such faces in the team, who were part of the winning team in South Africa last time. Among those names are G. The names of Trisha, MD Shabnam and Sonam Yadav are included.
A total of 16 teams are participating in the Under-19 Women's T20 World Cup, which are divided into 4 groups. There are 4 teams in each group, in which India is in Group A. Apart from India, Group A has hosts Malaysia, West Indies and Sri Lanka. The Indian team will start its campaign in the tournament on January 19 against West Indies.
All the group stage matches will be played in Kuala Lumpur. From India's point of view, considering the group it is in, it seems certain that it will go to the next round.
