Vinod Kambli's deteriorating health continues to be a matter of concern for Indian cricket fans. Kambli again suddenly fell ill, after which he was admitted to the hospital. He is undergoing treatment in a hospital in Thane and the doctor has told that he has a clot in his brain. This is not the first time that Kambli has been affected by a serious illness. For the past several years, he has been suffering from various diseases, in which his most dangerous situation occurred when he suddenly became unconscious while driving.
Former Indian team batsman Kambli has been suffering from health related problems for more than a decade. He also suffered a heart attack 12 years ago, after which he had surgery. In 2012, he had a heart attack for the first time, after which he had angioplasty. Kambli had revealed in an interview that his childhood friend Sachin Tendulkar had helped him and got this surgery done.
Only a year after this surgery, an accident happened to Kambli, which could have been fatal for him. This incident happened in 2013 and Kambli was driving his car in Mumbai. He was going from Bandra to Chembur when he had a heart attack and stopped his car. When he did not move away from there for some time, the female policeman saw him and found that he was in an unconscious state. The policeman immediately admitted him to Lilavati Hospital, where a team of doctors treated him. That day could have proved fatal for Kambli but the alertness and agility of the policeman saved him.
Apart from this, Kambli has also been affected by different diseases many times. Many times he has been in trouble due to alcohol addiction, due to which he has had to spend time in rehabilitation. At the same time, the 52-year-old former cricketer had also revealed that he had to struggle with depression. Whereas recently Kambli had revealed that due to urine problem, he had fallen down a few weeks ago and was unable to stand on his feet.
