Team India is sweating profusely at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) for the fourth test. All the players of the team were seen practicing at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. However, Team India has once again been discriminated against in Australia. According to media reports, Team India has been given such pitches for practice on which the players had practiced in the Big Bash League. These pitches were made for practice in white ball cricket. But now Team India is practicing on them. The Indian team is unhappy with the pitch. There is no bounce on these either.
The bounce in these pitches is very low and they do not have as much speed as is generally seen in the pitches in Australia. Four pitches were made available to the Indian team for practice. Indian players seemed unhappy with the quality of all these. These pitches are completely different from the pitches used in the Boxing Day Test.
It is being told that the pitches on which Team India practiced have wickets with high bounce, although these were not prepared for Team India. According to reports, Australia will now practice on these. Australia will be provided pitches with fast pace and good bounce, which will help them a lot in the Melbourne Test. Because these pitches will be very similar to the pitch used in the Melbourne Test. In such a situation, it would not be wrong to say that Australia has again discriminated against India.
On the other hand, MCG pitch curator Matt Page has told how the pitch will be for the next Test. Speaking to the media, he said, 'Seven years ago the pitch was quite flat. We decided that we wanted to create a more exciting Test match. So now we leave more grass on the pitches. This gives the bowlers a chance to play more, but after the new ball becomes soft, the batting will also be good. We have been maintaining a six mm (grass size) back for the last few years. He also revealed that the MCG pitch would not prove helpful for spinners.
