Delhi Capitals played well against Lucknow Super Giants in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. The visitors registered a six-wicket win, chasing 168 in Lucknow. Despite the victory, DC captain Rishabh Pant looked angry during the post-match presentation ceremony. Delhi were in need of a win, having lost four games in the 17th season. The Capitals put LSG on the backfoot after Kuldeep Yadav struck thrice in a span of a few deliveries.

Marcus Stoinis, Nicholas Pooran, and KL Rahul were dismissed, and Lucknow were in danger of scoring less than 120 runs. However, Ayush Badoni (55 off 35 ) and debutant Arshad Khan (20 off 16) took their team to a challenging total.

Pant was unhappy with his bowlers, Khaleel Ahmed and Mukesh Kumar, who conceded a lot of runs in the death overs to allow Ayush and Arshad to break free. Pant was seen talking to Mukesh after the first innings.

“We won a game, but some of the players will have to improve their performances. There are a few areas we need to work on. Kuldeep Yadav bowled well. We were desperate for a win, and this is what we spoke about with the guys before the contest,” Rishabh Pant said.

Pant’s performance with the bat has improved, but he is still struggling as a skipper, and when he finally had a good game as a captain, the two players failed to keep the pressure on the rivals.
