Pant and debutant Jake Fraser-McGurk formed a vital partnership, adding 77 runs for the third wicket, steering Delhi Capitals into a dominant position. However, their stand was broken by Naveen-ul-Haq, who dismissed Fraser-McGurk. The Australian newcomer departed after scoring an impressive 55 runs off 35 balls, featuring two boundaries and five sixes.
Six runs after Fraser-McGurk's dismissal, Rishabh Pant also fell. The Delhi Capitals captain was stumped by KL Rahul while attempting a big shot against Ravi Bishnoi, after dancing down the track. Pant departed after contributing a crucial 41 runs from just 24 balls.
During his innings, Pant played some exceptional shots, with one particular stroke standing out. It occurred in the 12th over, against Marcus Stoinis.
On the fourth delivery of the over, the LSG all-rounder delivered a slower ball outside the off stump. Rishabh Pant executed a reverse ramp shot, guiding the ball over the short third-man fielder for a boundary. This shot resembled one he played against England's James Anderson during the Ahmedabad Test in 2021.
