Hardly anyone would have expected that KL Rahul would prove to be the most effective and successful batsman of Team India on the Australia tour. In the three matches played so far in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, after Australia's star Travis Head, if any one batsman has appeared to be the most consistent, then it is Rahul. While before the start of the series, questions were being raised about his inclusion in the playing eleven, now everyone is praising him. Rahul has played some strong innings so far but not a single century has come from his bat. But he can change this in the fourth Test to be held in Melbourne and complete his hat-trick of centuries in the Boxing Day Test.

The fourth test match of the series will start from 26th December i.e. 'Boxing Day' at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. In this match, Team India will hope that the rest of its batsmen also show their strength and play big innings, but looking at the current form, the chances of this happening are slim. In such a situation, once again the focus will be on Rahul's performance.
