Jasprit Bumrah is in great form these days. He has wreaked havoc on Australian players with his bowling in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Bumrah has taken 21 wickets in 6 innings so far. He is the highest wicket taker bowler of this series. Seeing his lethal bowling, even Australian legends are not tired of praising him. Now the name of former Australian cricketer and coach Justin Langer has also been included in this list. Before the start of the Boxing Day Test on 26 December, he compared Bumrah with Wasim Akram and described him as the best bowler in the world at present.

'Right hand Wasim Akram'

Jasprit Bumrah has given Australian batsmen sleepless nights in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

Those times remain especially for the top-3 batsmen. Openers Usman Khawaja and Nathan McSweeney have become their victims 4 times each. Whereas Marnus Labuschagne has been dismissed 3 times by Bumrah. Seeing his dangerous bowling, former Australian player and coach Justin Langer called him right-handed Wasim Akram. Langer said on The Nightly Podcast that 'Every time I am asked about the best bowler I have faced, I take the name of Wasim Akram. For me he is right-handed Wasim Akram.
I would never like to face him.

'It's like a nightmare to face'

Langer enumerated the qualities of both the bowlers. He said, 'He has good pace and like great bowlers, he bowls the ball at the same place. He has a good bouncer. Also has the ability to swing in both directions. Apart from this, their seams are absolutely perfect. If you are expert in doing all these things then you become a double edged sword. That's why facing them is like a nightmare.

According to Langer, if Bumrah does not get injured then it will be very difficult for Australia to win the series.

Justin Langer expressed surprise about Ashwin's retirement after the Gaba test. Langer was thinking that the Indian team would use Ravindra Jadeja and Ashwin in Melbourne and Sydney, because both these venues suit India. But this did not happen.
