The long-running conflict regarding Champions Trophy 2025 has finally ended. According to the information revealed on Thursday, Team India will play all its matches in ICC Champions Trophy 2025 on neutral venues. The Indian team had already refused to go to Pakistan. At the same time, Pakistan will also not tour India for ICC events till 2027. It is clear that after India, even Pakistani team will not come to India to play cricket. However, now a Pakistani cricketer has suggested building a stadium on the border of both the countries.
The Indian team last toured Pakistan in the year 2008. Whereas the Pakistani team last came to India to play the 2023 ODI World Cup. Due to tension in the relations between the two countries, the cricket teams of both the countries face each other only in ICC events. India has been refusing to send its team to Pakistan for years but now Pakistan has also done the same. On this, Pakistani cricketer Ahmed Shehzad said that a stadium should be built on the border of India and Pakistan.
Ahmed Shahzad further targeted the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the Government of India. Ahmed Shahzad said in Nadir Ali Podcast that a stadium should be built on the border of the two countries. One gate of which opened in India and one in Pakistan. Indian players can come from there and our players can go from here. But this will cause problems to BCCI and Government of India. They will say that when your player comes to the field from our side, we will not give him a visa.
33-year-old Ahmed Shehzad was once a star player of Pakistan. However, soon his career came to a halt. He was once called 'Virat Kohli of Pakistan'. But he has been away from the Pakistani team for years. He played his last ODI and Test in the year 2017. Shahzad has played more than 150 matches for Pakistan in all three formats.
