KL Rahul won the crucial toss as Lucknow Super Giants elected to bat first against Delhi Capitals in the 26th match of the Indian Premier League 2024 on Friday. As expected Mayank Yadav misses out for LSG due to an injury he suffered in the last game and has been replaced by debutant pacer Arshad Khan. For Delhi, the rising Australian big-hitter Jake Fraser-McGurk is set for his much-awaited IPL debut. West Indies star Shai Hope also returned to Delhi's playing eleven. Indian bowlers Kuldeep Yadav and Mukesh Kumar also came to the team after missing previous games due to injuries. "We would have batted first as well," Rishabh Pant said at the toss. "Few of our players got injured, so need to find the right playing XI. We have two changes. Mukesh and Kuldeep are back. They were injured, looking forward to seeing them back on the field. "Meanwhile, Arshad Khan, who cost INR 20 lakh in the auction, is set to make his IP Ldebut for Lucknow Super Giants. He forms a pace attack with Yash Thakur and Naveen-ul-Haq as Mohsin Khan misses out again due to injury."We will bat first," KL Rahul said. "I don't have an answer to that (good record batting first.) We want to start fresh, looks like a good wicket. I don't think dew is going to play a part. It (new pitch) has made a huge difference. You can bowl well, bat well, express yourselves, the boundaries are big and the bowlers enjoy playing here. The batters are enjoying batting as well. The three games we have played here have been packed. Arshad Khan comes in for Mayank Yadav."
