After losing the T20 series to South Africa, Pakistan has made a great start to the ODI series. In the first match held at Boland Park, Paarl, Pakistan won by 3 wickets. Batting first, South Africa scored 239 runs for 9 wickets in 50 overs, in reply Pakistan achieved the target three balls earlier in the last over. Apart from this, he also managed to take 4 wickets, for which he received the Player of the Match award.
The international career of this left-handed batsman started with some disappointment but now this player has started leaving his mark. Sam Ayyub has scored his second century in just his 7th ODI innings and both of them have come out on foreign soil. This target was not easy for the Pakistani team which was chasing 239 runs. Abdullah Shafiq was out without opening the account. Babar Azam started well but he was out after scoring 23 runs. Captain Rizwan could also score only 1 run. Kamran Ghulam was run out on 4 runs. As a result, Pakistan lost four wickets for 60 runs.
After this, Sam and Salman Aga first rescued Pakistan from the crisis by making a wonderful partnership and then made Pakistan win by making a century partnership. Talking about Sam Ayyub, this player completed his half-century in 72 balls but after that he played very fast. Salman Agha, on the other hand, batted fast and both added 100 runs in just 98 balls for the fifth wicket. Sam Ayyub had a slow start but despite this he reached his century in just 112 balls. Salman Agha also completed his half-century in 61 balls. Rabada made the match exciting by dismissing Sam Ayub and Irfan Khan but in the end Salman made Pakistan win the first ODI match.
Heinrich Klaasen played a good innings for South Africa. He scored 86 runs. South African opener Tony de Georgi scored 33 runs. Rickleton played an inning of 36 runs. Captain Markram scored 35 runs. Everyone got the start but could not play big innings, as a result South Africa did not reach a big score and in the end it lost.
