Virat Kohli's performance in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 has not been anything special so far. He scored a century in the first match of the series. Apart from this, he has flopped in all the innings. He is not even spending much time at the crease. Virat Kohli is continuously getting out in the same manner, after which many veterans have advised him to improve his game. Amidst all this, Virat has talked to a special person in India. This person is none other than Kohli's batsman's childhood coach Rajkumar Sharma.
Virat Kohli's batsman's childhood coach Rajkumar Sharma revealed that he has spoken to Kohli, but he did not reveal what he discussed with Virat. Rajkumar Sharma told PTI, 'We are talking to each other and we have said some things which I will not say publicly. But he is a very mature player and knows where he is doing wrong. He will make a comeback and you will be able to see it in this series only.
Sunil Gavaskar recently advised that Virat should learn something from Sachin Tendulkar when he scored 241 runs in Sydney and did not play a single cover drive. But Rajkumar Sharma rejected this advice of Gavaskar and he is not at all happy with this suggestion. Rajkumar said, 'Sunil Gavaskar has been a great player and his suggestions are always welcome but I hope he will also give suggestions to others about their batting.'
Rajkumar further said, 'He has been performing well since 2008. On the basis of two innings, it would be wrong to say that he is out of form. He has already scored a century in this series. How many players have scored a century in the series? Apart from this, on the continuous criticism of Virat, he said, 'To be honest, I do not know much about the statistics but the kind of player he is, he will make a comeback. I think he is such a good player that there is no need to say or criticize anything because he has been the best consistent performer in the history of Indian cricket.
