Suryakumar Yadav scored a sensational fifty against RCB in the IPL 2024 match. His effort took the hosts to an emphatic seven-wicket win at the Wankhede Stadium. Harbhajan Singh, who has played for Mumbai Indians in the cash-rich league, compared SKY with AB de Villiers.

Suryakumar scored fifty off just 17 balls, helping MI cross the finishing line. The five-time champion champion chased down 197 runs in just 15.3 overs.

Harbhajan said he is lucky to have retired from the game and not faced someone like Suryakumar Yadav.

“I have not seen a more dominant batter than Suryakumar Yadav in my life. What does a bowler do in front of him? I am lucky that I am not playing ticket,” Harbhajan said on Star Sports.

Bhajji said that SKY had all the answers to the balls that were bowled to him. He can hit big hits on yorkers and bouncers. He can play sweep, pull, upper-cut.

“He is a different kind of player,” Harbhajan Singh said. Playing in his second game in IPL 2024 after missing the first three due to an injury, he failed to open his account against Delhi Capitals. However, he went all guns blazing against RCB, scoring 52 runs off just 19 balls, which included 5 fours and 4 sixes.

Harbhajan compared Suryakumar to AB de Villiers, saying the Indian batter is a better version of the South African legend.

“When Suryakumar Yadav performs, no one can defeat his team. He is an unbelievable player. He can win games in any situation. I saw AB de Villiers, and he was terrific with the bat, but I feel Suryakumar Yadav is a better version of him. He has won more games for his franchise than anyone playing now in the format.

“If I were part of any franchise, he would be my first pick, if he would come to the auction. But it’s not going to happen,” he added.
