Born in Bihar but played cricket for Bengal

Despite being born in Bihar, Akash Deep played domestic cricket for West Bengal. Actually, after the ban on Bihar Cricket Association, he had moved to Bengal. Akash took 103 wickets in 36 first class matches. Whereas he has 42 wickets in his name in 28 List-A matches. Whereas in 42 T-20 matches, Akash Deep took 49 wickets in his name.

Test debut against England, RCB is part of IPL

After performing brilliantly in domestic cricket, Akash got a chance to play in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He entered IPL through Royal Challenger Bangalore (RCB). Till now he has played 8 matches in IPL. During this period he took 8 wickets in 7 innings. Akash has not yet played T-20 and ODI matches for Team India but he remains in the Test team. His Test career started against England in Ranchi in February 2024. He was handed the Test cap by former India head coach Rahul Dravid.
