It is almost certain that Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s IPL 2024 will end without a trophy. They have lost five out of six games and are looking vulnerable as a group. The batters and bowlers have been lacking in performances, and the most recent defeat to Mumbai Indians has again put their shortcomings to the forefront. RCB have never backed local talents, with KL Rahul being the prime example. He was there with the franchise but was allowed to leave and has become one of the best Indian batters. The blame lies with the coaches, captains, and the owners.

Former India player Navjot Singh Sidhu was surprised that an RCB couldn’t find a good Indian spinner in a league-owned, run, and managed by the Indians. “They don’t have a good Indian spinner in a tournament that is Indian. You need to have a spinner on the pitches that helps them. Look at other franchises; they have added good and talented spinners to their squads.

“How can RCB believe that they can win the title without investing in the Indian talent. Yuzvendra Chahal is one of the best in the world, but RCB didn’t retain him. What were they thinking? They have made such mistakes in the last 15 years, and I don’t see them learning from it. There is something majorly wrong with the decision-makers,” Navjot Singh Sidhu said on RCB.

Virat Kohli is the only positive, as he is the current holder of the Orange Cap. He has scored 319 runs in six matches, with the help of 1 hundred and two fifties. The remaining teammates have been inconsistent, and the franchise is again going through a long losing streak in a season.
