Pakistan all-rounder Imad Wasim, on Friday, announced his retirement from international cricket for the second time , but reversed his decision to retire after playing a match-winning hand in Islamabad United's title-winning campaign in the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

Wasim, along with Mohammad Amir, returned for the Men's T20 World Cup in the West Indies and UAE, but Pakistan failed to go beyond the group stage.

In two games at the mega event earlier this year, Wasim scored only 19 runs from three games and picked up three wickets at an economy rate of four. The match against Ireland in Lauderhill was his last for Pakistan at the highest level. The 35-year-old said that he was privileged after being given a chance to don the national colours.

Wasim, who became the No.1 T20I bowler back in 2017, also talked about his desire to continue playing domestic and franchise cricket around the world.

"To all fans and supporters: After much thought and reflection, I have decided to retire from international cricket. Representing Pakistan on the world stage has been the greatest honor of my life, and every moment wearing the green jersey has been unforgettable," Wasim wrote.
