Former India spinner Harbhajan Singh feels India can win the fourth and fifth Test of the ongoing series. He mentioned that if the visitors can defeat Australia at the Gabba, they have a chance to lift the prestigious trophy Down Under. The series is levelled 1-1, with India winning the series opener by 295 runs. Australia came back strongly and registered a 10-wicket victory at the Adelaide Oval.
Harbhajan praised India and Australia for their performance. He said that both teams were ordinary in a game each, and India’s momentum was broken due to the gap between the first and second games.
“Both teams can bounce back. Australia were outclassed in Perth and they wouldn’t have thought that and the same happened with India in Adelaide. The long gap can break momentum,” he said on Star Sports.
Bhajji said that India will have to win two out of the remaining three red-ball matches, and their best chance is in Melbourne and Sydney. However, he thinks that if India win at the Gabba, they will surely win this edition of BGT.
“India will have to win two Tests and their best chance is in Sydney and Melbourne. If India come out as winners at Gabba, they will lift the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. The matches in Melbourne and Sydney will suit the Indian team. Both India and Australia have bounced back from a defeat,” he added.
India clinched a memorable win over Australia in Brisbane during the previous series.
