Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) owner Sanjiv Goenka recently opened up on the Virat Kohli-Naveen ul Haq verbal spat during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. Notably, Kohli and Naveen had a heated exchange during Match 43 of the tournament between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and LSG in Lucknow.
Following the incident, Kohli also had an altercation with the LSG mentor Gautam Gambhir at the end of the game. In the aftermath of the incident, Recently, LSG owner Sanjiv Goenka opened up on the incident and revealed that he had extended his support to Naveen after the incident.
"That situation took place during a game. So I will not comment on whether it was right or wrong. It is easy to be judgmental but it is not for us to judge. I just told Naveen that if you need any support or you are feeling insecure, we are there to support you," Goenka said on the TRS Podcast.
Further speaking ahead, Goenka also mentioned how he motivated the Afghanistan seamer to give a strong reply with his performance.
