Mitchell Starc is on the verge of scripting a major record in Test cricket. He is likely to become the fourth bowler and second fast bowler to take 50 or more wickets at the iconic Gabba in Brisbane. The left-arm seamer is currently fourth on the list, with Shane Warne (68), Glenn McGrath (65), and Nathan Lyon (51) ahead of him.
With the form Starc is in at the moment, he has the possibility of going past the 50-scalp mark when the home team hosts the Rohit Sharma-led unit from December 14 in Brisbane. He has taken 47 wickets from 11 Test matches.
