Yuvraj Singh, one of the most successful players of Indian cricket, will celebrate his 43rd birthday on 12th December. Yuvraj Singh is one of the few Indian players who has won 2 World Cups. He was a part of the Indian team that won the 2007 T20 World Cup and 2011 ODI World Cup. The 2007 T20 World Cup was the same tournament where he was given the title of Sixer King. In this tournament, he created history by hitting 6 sixes in one over. He became the first player to achieve such a feat in T20 cricket. But there is an interesting story behind why Yuvraj hit 6 sixes in an over.

Made a world record by hitting 6 sixes in 6 balls.

On 19 September 2007, Yuvraj Singh made this record against fast bowler Stuart Broad in the match played against England. Not only the fans but even Stuart Broad has not been able to forget this blow till date. This was the 21st match of T20 World Cup 2007. In this match, Yuvraj hit 6 sixes in 6 balls in the 19th over of the Indian innings. But Yuvraj had not come to the field thinking about this feat. Actually, he had an argument with Andrew Flintoff in the 18th over of the innings. After this Yuvraj vented out all his anger on Stuart Broad.

Actually, the 18th over of the Indian innings was bowled by Andrew Flintoff. Yuvraj had hit 2 fours in this over. After which, at the end of the over, an argument was seen between Andrew Flintoff and Yuvraj and the matter escalated so much that the umpires had to intervene. This mistake of Flintoff cost the entire England team dearly and in that match, Yuvraj created history by scoring a half-century in 12 balls and scored 58 runs in a total of 16 balls. Which included 3 fours and 7 sixes. Yuvraj had scored the fastest fifty in T20 history in that match, which is still a record.

Yuvraj had revealed the fight after years

Years later, the Indian player had revealed about the conversation that took place between Yuvraj and Flintoff that day. While talking about that incident in an interview, Yuvi had said, 'I hit two fours to Andrew Flintoff, which he did not like. After the completion of the over, Flintoff even called my shots poor. Apart from this he told me that he would cut my throat. Before this fight I had no intention of hitting 6 sixes. Then I told Flintoff that you know where I can hit you with the bat I have in my hand. After this the umpires came in between and then I decided that I would hit every ball only outside the boundary. I was lucky that I managed to do so that day.
