Recently, some reports claimed that a consensus has been reached to organize next year's Champions Trophy in a hybrid model, due to which India will play its matches in Dubai. At the same time, the Pakistan Cricket Board had put forward some conditions before the ICC in exchange for the hybrid model. According to which, hybrid model will be used in ICC tournaments till 2027. During this period, India will jointly host the Women's ODI World Cup in October next year and the 2026 Men's T20 World Cup jointly with Sri Lanka. But now news has come out that the 2026 T20 World Cup will not be played completely on the hybrid model.

According to Pakistani media reports, BCCI is ready to hold the group matches of Pakistan cricket team in Sri Lanka in the T20 World Cup 2026, but not a single condition of Pakistan will be accepted for the semi-final and final matches. This means that BCCI will not hold the semi-final and final matches of the 2026 T20 World Cup outside India, in such a situation, if the Pakistan team reaches the semi-finals and final, then it will have to tour India under any circumstances.

Team India can play all matches in Dubai

Let us tell you, relations between India and Pakistan have not been good for quite some time, due to which the Indian team does not tour this country. Matches are played between India and Pakistan only during ICC tournaments and Asia Cup. For this reason BCCI does not want to send its team to Pakistan. In such a situation, if the Champions Trophy 2025 is held on the hybrid model, then Team India can play all its matches in Dubai. In which semi-final and final matches will also be included. That means the Indian team will not go to Pakistan for even a single match.
