The schedule of Champions Trophy 2025 has not been announced yet and the reason for this is the ongoing tug of war between BCCI and PCB. Pakistan is ready for the hybrid model of Champions Trophy but one of its conditions is troubling BCCI. Pakistan Cricket Board has placed a condition that it is ready for the fact that Team India will not play its Champions Trophy matches in Pakistan but it will also not play ICC tournament matches to be held in India in future. Now according to reports, BCCI has reacted on this issue and it is not at all ready with this condition of Pakistan. BCCI has clearly said that Pakistan will have to come to India for ICC tournaments.

BCCI gave this argument

According to reports, BCCI says that the Indian team cannot go to Pakistan because Team India is not safe there. Team India has not gone to Pakistan since the Mumbai attacks in 2008. But BCCI said that Pakistan will have to come to India for the Women's ODI World Cup to be held next year and the Men's T20 World Cup to be held in 2026 because Pakistani players are safe on Indian soil. BCCI says that in the 2023 World Cup, Pakistan team played all the matches in India and they also remained safe. Meaning, BCCI has clearly said that players like Babar Azam and Shaheen Afridi will have to come to India to play ICC tournaments.

When will the Champions Trophy schedule be released?

Now ICC is caught in the fight between BCCI and Pakistan Cricket Board. The schedule of the Champions Trophy has not been announced yet. However, this problem may end soon because Jay Shah has become the new chairman of ICC. He can soon decide this matter and announce the schedule of the Champions Trophy.
