IPL has issued a media advisory and given information about Harvik Desai joining Mumbai Indians. He wrote, ‘Due to the hand injury of wicketkeeper batsman Vishnu Vinod, TATA is out of the remaining matches of IPL 2024. Mumbai Indians have included Saurashtra wicketkeeper batsman Harvik Desai in the team in his place. 24-year-old Harwick has scored centuries in all three formats of cricket. He was part of the India U19 team that won the World Cup in 2018.

24 year old Harvik Desai played the recently held Ranji Trophy 2024. He has scored 2658 runs in 80 innings of 46 first class matches. During this period he has also scored 5 centuries and 16 half centuries. His highest score is 116 runs. So, in List-A matches, he has scored 1341 runs in 40 matches at an average of more than 76. Which also includes 4th century and 9th century. His highest score in this format is 102 runs. Talking about T20 format, he has 691 runs in his name in 27 matches with the help of 1 century and 4 half-centuries. The top score of 104 runs in this format is also recorded in his name.

Harvik Desai was also a part of Saurashtra’s Ranji Trophy 2019-20 and 2022-23 teams.
