India Women vs Australia Women ODI Series 2024: Indian women's cricket team will take on Australia in their own backyard in a three-match ODI series, starting from Thursday (December 5) in Brisbane.

The series opener will be staged at the Allan Border Field, where the second ODI also will take place three days later on Sunday (December 8) before the series concludes on Wednesday (December 11) at WACA Ground in Perth.

The Women in Blue will be led by Harmanpreet Kaur, while young batter Shafali Verma was dropped from the squad following recent run of poor performances in the white-ball games.

The Indian team also includes Smriti Mandhana, who will continue to serve as the deputy to Harmanpreet with Deepti Sharma, Jemimah Rodrigues, Renuka Singh Thakur and Richa Ghosh being some of the other prominent names in the visiting squad.

Australia, on the other hand, will be without their regular skipper Alyssa Healy, who has been nursing a injury she picked up at the Women's T20 World Cup earlier this year. In her absence, senior all-rounder Tahlia McGrath will lead the home side.

The hosts squad, however, still features some of the biggest names in women's cricket like Beth Mooney, Ellyse Perry and Meghan Schutt to name a few. One notable absentee is all-rounder Grace Harris, who is preferred in the T20Is mostly. Here is all you need to know about the series:
