On and off the pitch, young Indian stars Ishan Kishan and Shubman Gill have a special bond that goes without saying—they are inseparable. Their bromance is well known among fans. The wicketkeeper-batter and aggressive opener often spend time together during long tours with the national squad. Having been part of the Indian lineup across formats for the past few years, Kishan and Gill are now inseparable. Virat Kohli recently commented on their tight bond, playfully calling the two “identical twins.”

According to Kohli, it is hard to keep the two apart because they both enjoy each other’s company, whether it be during team meetings or dinner.

“Sita and Geeta (Ishan and Shubman) have a unique and close bond. During team tours, they are constantly together – whether going out for meals, having discussions, or simply hanging out. I have never seen them apart.” stated Kohli.

With Hardik Pandya moving to Mumbai, Indians, Gill is leading the Gujarat Titans, while Kishan is a wicketkeeper-batter for the Mumbai Indians.

On Wednesday, Gill took the lead and amassed 72 runs as Gujarat Tigers handed the Rajasthan Royals their first IPL 2024 loss. After missing out on a century against the Punjab Kings last week, Gill has now scored back-to-back half-centuries.

Though Kishan has struggled for MI this season, tallying just 92 runs across four matches, his bigger concern is losing his BCCI contract for skipping domestic matches for Jharkhand. He needs to perform well to play for India in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024.

With one century already under his belt, Kohli leads the IPL 2024 scoring charts. With an average of 105.33, he has amassed 316 runs in 5 games while playing for the RCB.
