Before the Adelaide Test, captain Pat Cummins has included a new fast bowler in the Australian team. Cummins has taken this decision after Josh Hazlewood was out of the second test due to injury. Now his place has been taken by 30-year-old Brendan Doggett, who can debut against India during the pink-ball test. Although Australia has definitely suffered a blow due to Hazlewood's exclusion, Team India cannot take a sigh of relief from this. The reason behind this is Doggett's lethal bowling and his experience in domestic cricket. Recently he had also forced the India A team to kneel.

Wreaked havoc on India A

Brendan Doggett was called as a replacement during the 2nd unofficial Test between Australia A and India A. Then in the match held in Mackay, he bowled 11 overs and took 6 wickets for just 15 runs. Due to his lethal bowling, the entire India A team was all out for just 107 runs. In the second innings also he took 1 wicket in his name.

However, he did not get a chance to play in the second match. Now he has been called as a replacement for Hazlewood against Team India also. Let us tell you that this is the second time that Doggett has been included in the team. Earlier, Australia had called him for the Test series against Pakistan in UAE in 2018 but did not give him a chance to debut.

7 years experience in domestic cricket

However, 30-year-old Doggett has not yet got a chance to debut for Australia. But he has good experience in domestic cricket. He has been playing first class matches since 2017. In these 7 years, Doggett has played 40 matches, in which he has taken 142 wickets at an average of 28.63. Team India's batsmen may face trouble in facing him in the Adelaide Test. Because no batsman has played against him since then. In such a situation, he can prove to be a Brahmastra for captain Pat Cummins in the day-night test.

Two all rounders were also called

Pat Cummins has also included Doggett's two all-rounded Beau Webster and Sean Abbott in the team. Both of them have not yet debuted for Australia. 30-year-old Webster has played 93 matches in the first class, in which he has scored 5297 runs and also taken 148 wickets. Webster had scored 185 runs along with taking 7 wickets in 2 unofficial tests against India A. At the same time, 32 year old Abbott has scored 2799 runs in 87 first class matches and has also taken 261 wickets.
