A war has broken out between the England Cricket Board and its players. Due to a decision of the ECB, the players of England have now rebelled and are now planning to take legal action against their own board. A big controversy has arisen due to this. Actually, the ECB had recently issued a new policy for its players. Under this, he had banned English cricketers from playing in Pakistan Super League. Now the players have decided to protest against this decision and take a big step.

Players will take legal action

Players angry with the ECB's decision have claimed that they are unaware of the new policy of No-Objection Certificate (NOC). Therefore, he has demanded to call an emergency meeting next week, so that he can understand these rules and find a solution with the board.

This rule is being opposed mainly by those players who do not have any ECB contract or are only on white ball format contract with the county. They believe that the new policy of ECB may limit their opportunities and they may suffer huge losses. That's why he has adopted a tough stance. These players are discussing their options with the Professional Cricketers Association (PCA) as well as among themselves on WhatsApp group chat.

According to the report of ESPNcricinfo, PCA's interim Chief Executive Darryl Mitchell has said that the association's legal team is investigating this ECB policy. After estimating the impact of the England Cricket Board's decision, it can be challenged legally. Mitchell further said that the ECB implemented its new policy without any discussion with the players. Because of this many cricketers are angry.

What did the ECB say on the new policy?

ECB Chief Executive Richard Gould has said regarding the board's decision that this policy has been taken to ensure the strength of domestic cricket. The board has said that players will be allowed to play in leagues of other countries like PSL and CPL only if there is no hindrance in domestic tournaments like T20 Blast and The Hundred.

However, IPL has been kept out of this rule. In fact, next year Pakistani league PSL, America's Major League Cricket, Canada's Global T20 League and Sri Lanka Premier League may collide with England's domestic league tournament. In such a situation, many players of England would like to choose the league which gets more money, which may affect the ECB.
