Under-19 Men's Asia Cup 2024 is going to start from 29th November. This tournament will be played in UAE till 8th December, in which a total of 8 teams will participate. The 8 teams participating in this tournament have been divided into two groups of 4 each. India, Pakistan, Japan and UAE have been kept in Group A. Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Nepal have been kept in Group B. At the same time, an 18 year old player will take command of Team India. This player has seen a lot in his young age and has faced many challenges.
Mohammad Aman will command Team India in the Under-19 Asia Cup. Mohammad Aman is a resident of Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh. He last played as a player in the Under-19 Asia Cup, but this time he has been made the captain. 18 year old Aman is not only a batsman but also a fast bowler. Let us tell you, Mohammad Aman had dreamed of becoming a cricketer after the 2011 ODI World Cup, when India won this title at home. Initially he used to play around his house, after which he started playing at Ambedkar Stadium in the city from 2014.
Mohammad Aman's mother Saiba left this world in 2020 during the Covid-19 pandemic. Whereas, his father Mehtab was a truck driver, who died in the year 2022. That means Aman lost his parents at the age of 16. But he never gave up. He had told in an interview that there was a time when he used to play cricket wearing a borrowed bat and shoes.
After the death of his parents, he took the responsibility of his three younger siblings and also continued his sports. During that time, he also searched for a job in Saharanpur to support his family but did not find any work. After this some people came forward to help him. Mohammad Aman had also told that there was a time when he had to sleep on an empty stomach. But he continued playing. Aman has so far played in Under-14, Under-16 and Under-19 cricket categories. Earlier in 2023, he was made the captain of Uttar Pradesh Under-19 team. He recently captained India's ODI team against Australia's Under-19 team.
