Delhi: Former IPL chief Lalit Modi has made serious allegations against IPL and CSK owner N Srinivasan in a podcast. He said that Srinivasan used to fix umpires in IPL matches. Modi alleged that Srinivasan used to change the umpire in the matches of his team Chennai Super Kings (CSK), which was a problem for him and it was directly a part of fixing.

Umpire used to change often in CSK matches

Lalit Modi also said that umpires were often changed in CSK's matches in the IPL, and when he protested against it, Srinivasan turned against him. The former chief also admitted that he had rigged the bid, and all the franchisees were aware of it. He told that he was asked not to bid for Flintoff because Srinivasan wanted to keep him in his team.

Lalit Modi has made allegations against CSK before also

This is not the first time that Lalit Modi has made allegations against IPL and Srinivasan. After the IPL fixing scandal in 2013, CSK was banned for two years, in which Srinivasan's name was also included. However, he made a comeback in 2018 and that year CSK also won the IPL title.

Lalit Modi left India in 2010 on charges of money laundering and since then he has been living in London. The Government of India had declared him a fugitive.
