Jurel, showcased his lightning-fast reflexes in the 54th over of Australia’s second innings, When Indian spinner Washington Sundar delivered a spinning ball that Starc attempted to clip into the on-side. The shot, however, flew behind Jurel, who was stationed at short leg stretched out his right hand to pluck the ball out of thin air. The incredible catch sent Indian players into jubilant celebration. Starc departed for 12 off 35 balls, with Sundar claiming his wicket.

While Jurel’s athletic catch was one of the match highlight, Sundar’s contribution was pivotal in India’s dominance. In Australia’s second innings, Sundar bagged two crucial wickets, playing a key role in maintaining pressure on the hosts.

Earlier, with the bat, Sundar’s gritty 29 runs off 94 balls in India’s second innings proved crucial. Though not a towering score, the 25-year-old’s resilience and his vital partnership with Virat Kohli helped India post a challenging total, setting the stage for their commanding win.

Chasing an imposing target of 534, Australia faltered under India’s relentless attack, getting bowled out for just 238 runs in their second innings. India skipper Jasprit Bumrah delivered a stellar performance, claiming eight wickets across both innings. His brilliance earned him the Player of the Match award. With this dominant victory, India have taken a crucial 1-0 lead in the five-match Test series. The team will look to build on this momentum as they aim for series glory, while Australia will need to regroup and strategize to bounce back in the upcoming Tests.
