Gurjapneet Singh Bought by CSK for INR 2.2 Cr at IPL 2025 Auction

The Tamil Nadu pacer Gurjapneet Singh has been brought by Chennai Super Kings for a price of INR 2.2 crore during the IPL 2025 mega auction.

CSK was in search of an Indian fast bowler and after missing out on a big name, put their trust in the 26-year-old player.

With many uncapped cricketers waiting for a chance to play in the IPL, CSK is one of the franchises that gives opportunities for youngsters and helps to grow in the set up with the presence of MS Dhoni.

The Punjab based fast bowler Gurjapneet Singh, represents Tamil Nadu in the domestic circuit and has played four FC matches till now. He also made his TNPL debut in 2021 and has been net bowler for Tamil Nadu in 2024.

During TNPL 2023, Gurjapneet Singh picked 15 wickets with an average of 14.1. and has impressed Virat Kohli while bowling for him at the MA Chidamabaram Stadium in Chennai during India vs Bangladesh test series.
