Delhi: Pakistan has faced another shameful defeat. In the first ODI match played in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe defeated Pakistan by 80 runs. Batting first, Zimbabwe scored only 205 runs, but despite this Pakistan team failed to achieve the target. Due to rain, the result of the match was declared by Duckworth-Lewis rule. When it rained, Pakistan's score was only 60 runs for 6 wickets, and after that the match could not be restarted.

Pakistan's crushing defeat

Engrava, who came to bat at number 9 for Zimbabwe, scored 48 runs, while Sikandar Raza played a useful inning of 39 runs. Pakistan's batting completely faltered. Opener Saim Ayyub scored 11 runs, while Abdullah Shafiq was out for just 1 run. Kamran Ghulam 17 runs, Salman Aga 4 runs, and Hasibullah Khan returned to the pavilion without opening the account. Irfan Khan also got bowled after scoring 7 runs.

Captain Mohammad Rizwan definitely scored unbeaten 19* runs, but he added runs playing on 43 balls at a strike rate of only 44.19. The game was stopped due to rain and Zimbabwe was awarded victory under the Duckworth-Lewis rule.
