During this time, Gujarat made the last bid for Butler at Rs 15.50 crore. After this Mallika asked Lucknow if they wanted to take their bid forward, then the LSG franchise flatly refused. But after this the auctioneer mistakenly quoted the last bid as Rs 15.75 crore instead of Rs 15.50 crore. In this way, due to Mallika's mistake, Butler became a part of Gujarat team for Rs 15.75 crores, whereas he had to pay only Rs 15.50 crores. Mallika is being trolled on social media because of her mistake.

It is worth noting that Jos Buttler was a part of the Rajasthan Royals team in the last season of IPL, but this time the franchise did not retain him. The franchise's decision was surprising. Butler is a big player who also has a lot of captaincy experience. This is the reason why the Gujarat franchise tried its best to buy him.
